The largest zoo in Nevada is home to more than two hundred species and over forty different types of animals. Some of the more exotic animals at this facility include lemurs, zebra, lions, elephants, camels, baboons, monkeys and tigers! The zoo has been operating for over one hundred years and was established in 1889. It is located on nineteen acres in Reno, Nevada and is west of Reno on Telephone Road. The facility is open for visitation seven days a week and during the summer months it is even more popular with tourists.
